TCCO - PART OF THE PROJECT "Reviving the Silk Route" - ONE BELT, ONE ROAD

Alliance of Universities

The University Alliance of the New Silk Road (UANSR)

The authors of the mega project One Belt, One Road have identified four factors on which the success of its realization depends.

One of them is:

"Intellectual" Silk Road. Within the framework of this factor, the Silk Road countries are deepening their cooperation in the field of education and professional training of diverse specialists. The availability of young, gifted and enterprising personnel in the Silk Road countries is one of the key success factors of the project.

Therefore, for the practical realization of this component of the project, The University Alliance of the New Silk Road (UANSR) was formed in 2015, which united about 100 universities from 22 countries. Currently, it includes 132 universities from 32 countries, covering five continents.

Goal of the alliance:

To create a cooperation platform in higher education for regions involved in the One Belt, One Road project and located along the Silk Road.

The main objectives of the alliance are:

  • To organize cultural communication and events aimed at strengthening friendship between the peoples of the countries within the Alliance.
  • To unite efforts and establish international relations between universities in the fields of science, political and economic research, personnel training, etc., and to organize cultural communication and events aimed at strengthening friendship between the peoples of the countries within the Alliance.

  • To improve the quality of education in the Alliance countries.

  • To contribute to the economic growth of the countries of the new economic belt in the Silk Road zone in the Eurasian region.

The Trans-Caspian Career Olympiad is in fact a new platform for cooperation between the educational schools of the Silk Road regions and the Alliance of Universities in training modern intellectual professional staff.

The countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia involved in these projects - Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan - are already in need of highly qualified and diversified personnel. In light of this, the main goal of the Trans-Caspian Career Olympiad is to identify talented and gifted young people and assist them in enrolling in the Alliance universities. At the same time, the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad is working on expanding cooperation with other leading universities in China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Turkey, Europe and the USA.
